What Kind of Speaking Engagements Do I Offer?
While working at a small startup a few years back, I got the chance to speak on the topic of children’s user research at various universities around the Bay Area. Students were always so engaged in hearing about children’s research and I was always so surprised that many students had no idea about this potential career path. It was at that point that I knew I wanted to spend my time teaching and mentoring the next generation of children’s user researchers.
I currently teach graduate and undergraduate courses on children’s technology with a focus on user research methods. I also guest lecture at universities and organizations across the country. Some of the universities I have partnered with include:
Harvard Graduate School of Education
Stanford Graduate School of Education, Learning Design & Technology Program
NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development
University of Maryland College of Information Studies
Temple University, Klein College of Media and Communication
University of Washington, School of Information
